WOOL / MOHAIR

Our seasonal knitwear is crafted with a wool and mohair blend.

Our wool is sourced through UPW, who are celebrated for their commitment to both animal and environmental protection and are RWS accredited. The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) is an industry tool that provides the benchmarks that address animal welfare and land preservation in the shepherd industry. This ensures wool is sourced from farms with a progressive approach to managing their land in relation to sustainability, and from sheep that have been cared for & managed ethically and responsibly.

RWS has established a further standard to address the welfare of goats and the land they graze on, in relation to the sourcing and production of Mohair wool. The Responsible Mohair Standard (RMS) provides the industry with a tool to recognize the best practices of farmers, ensuring that Mohair comes from farms that have a progressive approach to managing their land, practice holistic respect for animal welfare of the goats, and respect the Five Freedoms* of animal welfare.
